There are two interfaces between SiMDMs to SMDAS /HES

Sumy Provides following SAP Services to Utilities:

On Demand & Event Data:

This is a bidirectional interface wherein event data is pushed by SMDAS / HES to SiMDMs and on-demand data like instantaneous meter reading is initiated by the SiMDMs. Connection and disconnection commands can be initiated by SiMDMs and furthermore processed using this interface.

Interval Data:
SAP AMI implementation.
SAP Training to utility users.

SiMDMs to CIS, Billing System and Analytics Interfaces are bidirectional. Please refer below functional architecture:

Following interfaces are required to integrate the Proposed SiMDMs system to Consumer Portal:

Consumer Portal to SiMDMs:

This will be bidirectional Interface:

To access the consumption, billing, payment, meter events, load profiles etc information.
To request the temporary connection / disconnection, load enhancement / change, address change etc.

SiMDMs to CIS / BILLING SYSTEM:

This will be bidirectional Interface:

To share the consumption, billing, payment, meter events, load profiles etc information to SiMDMs for consumer portal.
To process the request of temporary connection / disconnection, load enhancement / change, address change etc. to billing System.

Purpose of this interface is to send the high priority alerts to notify the utility personnel to take an action on top priority.

Sumy provides the demand response or Peak Load Management (PLM) Software with minimum follow-up reports after integration with SiMDMs and other legacy Systems.

Consumer category wise Time of Use (ToU) tariff on daily/weekly/monthly/ quarterly, etc., shall be made available on the consumer portal.
Daily load forecasting for the project area on hourly basis.
Import hourly drawl schedule (to be made available by the utility) for the project area.
Analysis of surplus/ deficit situation in daily drawl schedule.

a) Based on the above analysis design demand response (DR) and demand side management programs.
b) Command to be given to SiMDMs for reduction of drawl limit for identified group of consumers.
c) Notification for the modification in drawl limit to be sent to the consumers via SMS, email, etc., as well as made available on the consumer portal.
d) On completion of demand response event drawl limit of the above consumers to be restored.

The portal/app has a landing home page. This page provides a brief description about DISCOM, features promotional content or advertisement of special programs.
There will be login component and registered users can login using their username and password.
‘New users’ can also register by clicking on the First Time Users Register link.
The ‘forgot password’ link helps the user to retrieve their password.
New users can register by providing their personal information and set up security answers.
Forgot passwords can be retrieved or reset using OTP through registered mobile number or email address.
The registered users can change their password and account information as well as registered mobile number through OTP feature.

Consumer Portal is the integrated application of Utilities MDMs, Billing and Demand Response System. The portal / app has following features:

Display single/multiple account information of the users displaying information like account name, address, balance, due, status, etc.
Any status message pertaining to the account/s viz. alerts/actions.
Information about different customer engagement programs viz DSM etc.
Consumption and billing history of the user in graphical formats for at least 12 months as per selection. With detailed analysis in a tabular format listing the meter reading date, the reading, consumption, number of days, charges, etc.
The portal/app has the ability to provide option for recording service requests/complaints lodged by the customer as new connection, disconnection, load change, name change, category change, meter shifting, etc.
The user can view the service request status. The user can register complaints viz. power failure, faulty meter, street light outage, etc.
The portal provides user friendly access to consumer for their data via colorful graphs and charts which can be downloaded into a spreadsheet.
Consumer mobile app through which consumer can log in through android/iOS/Window based mobile app to see information related to its energy consumption. App also provides platform for implementation of peak load management functionality by providing existing tariff and incentives rates, participation options, etc.

All the authorized consumers can view following functionalities:

View metered data, initiate and view reports.
View data according to Time of Use (ToU) tariff.
Can make request for connection/disconnection.
Users can update mobile number/email.
Can initiate service requests for maximum demand updating, meter checking, etc.
In case on net-metering consumers, user can view data for both import and export.
In case of prepaid consumers, they can view recharge history and present balance.
Prepaid consumers will have facility to recharge their account by logging on user interface. For secure login, the user interface has consumer id., mobile number and password. This user interface is integrated with the present online payment gateway of utility.
